This really works! January 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We tried a cool mist type, but not only did it chill the room but it didn't do anything for our son's cold. We finally bought this on my friend's recommendation (a mom of four) and it really works! The room was nice and warm and humid and helped to ease his congestion immediately. The low noise it makes is nice in the background and a full tank on high lasts all night. Just make sure to keep it up and out of the way when the baby gets mobile.
love it May 10, 2006 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have had this humidifier for about 6 months now and I love it. The mist is not to hot to burn my little one which is important. It does an excellent job of putting moisture in the air. It is also very easy to clean.

I received an Evenflow vaporizer during my shower and thought it would help once baby & I got sick. Way to small for my room. I looked at many vaporizers and warm mist humidifiers that would actually work in our room. This one was perfect. I doesn't run out in the middle of the night, and helps keep the room warm when the heat goes down to low at night [apartment headaches]. The amount of night time coughing has lowered and asthma triggered dryness and dry sinis at night have ended. Perfect buy without the high cost.
Wonderful for dry homes! 3.5 stars February 26, 2008 3 out of 3 found this review helpful

I bought this humidifier because the air in my home was so dry I was getting nosebleeds. Within a few days I felt so much better (even skin and lips aren't as dry/chapped).
PROS: - Has a high setting and a low setting - Quiet compared to other humidifiers - Automatically shuts off when the tank is empty, and a "Reset" light appears to let you know to fill it. - Is relatively small/compact. I move it from room to room, and it's not too heavy even when full.
CONS: - Requires cleaning more than once a week, I wash the tank every other day just to be on the safe side. - Minerals do build up in the "heating chamber" and the inside of the large part of the "removable tray" rather quickly, I would suggest using distilled or purified water. Or just make sure you clean it regularly (one or 2 times a week for the Removable tray and heating chamber), I use a soft-bristled toothbrush to remove mineral build-up. - "Medicine Cup" is on the small side. I don't use this feature, but others might find it inadequate.
***I don't mind cleaning, it only takes about 10 minutes when you clean all of the parts, even when I had to scrub off the mineral buildup.
Pretty good so far! January 20, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought it at Target for about $32 and used it for the first time last night. I have a bad cold as we speak and for the first time, I did not wake up with a sore, dry throat. We used it on low speed throughout the night and the definitely lasts for over 12 hours. Unexpectedly quiet, too, even on high speed, compared with old-school humidifiers. I haven't cleaned it yet, but so far, I'm pretty impressed.
