Product Description 8 OZ, Pyrex, Measuring Cup.
Amazon.com Review Follow recipes with precision for exemplary results with this 1-cup liquid measuring cup from the pros at Pyrex. Constructed in durable Pyrex glass, the non-reactive measuring cup prevents lingering odors, flavor absorption, or staining to ensure ingredient purity. Bright red lines and text help chefs identify dark liquid levels with ease. Fluid ounces and 1/2- and 1/3- cup increments adorn one side of the cup with metric milliliters noted on the reverse for quick measurement conversions. A wide handle provides cooks a comfortable grip, whether bare handed or donning a kitchen mitt. For recipes requiring hot milk or melted chocolate, the cup is both microwave- and oven- safe. The user-friendly measuring cup is also dishwasher-safe. A two-year warranty is available for Pyrex products in the event of heat-induced breakage. Made in the USA, the measuring cup weighs 1 pound upon shipping. --Jessica Reuling

Perfect size for smaller jobs November 1, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
You can't beat Pyrex. It's tried and true. And this measuring cup in a handy size for smaller jobs. I had the 2-cup version and it just seemed to large sometimes. This is a nice, smaller size -- not so heavy since there's not so much glass. I highly recommend.
Since this one came free.... September 8, 2005 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
with the Oxo pastry brush, it is hard to rate it at less than 5-stars. Has been a staple in my kitchen for many many years. Now I can use 1 for dry and one for wet (i.e. for pancakes) without having to stop and wash/dry the single. Way to go, Amazon!
(9/19 update): Here's an oddity: My first Pyrex (1975 or so) was manufactured in Corning, NY and weighed in at 12.8 ounces. The new cup (made in the USA, although not necessarily in Corning) weighed in at a hefty 14.3 ounces. My old one was as close to shatter-proof as one could hope for, and to this day, has no chips or cracks, so I wonder why the new version is heavier? I will say the markings on the new are much easier to read.
Measuring Cup June 12, 2007 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
The pyrex measuring cup is the best, but I have quite a biased point of view on anything Corning. My mother worked at a Corning plant for many years and still has a set of dishes she bought there over 30 years ago. The dishes have survived moves and 4 children and look as good as ever.
Measuring up August 10, 2005 This Pyrex Prepware 1-Cup Measuring Cup is a joy to work with. The measurments are dead on. I cross checked each measurment with 6 other measuring cups and spoons from various other makers and rest assured the Pyrex Prepware 1-Cup Measuring Cup is very accurate. If you want to measure things whether to cook, bake, or if you just like to measure things as a hobby like I do, this is the product.
