Handiest kitchen gadget since the toaster! December 25, 2007 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
I installed our first Insinkerator hot water dispenser in the early 1980's - it lasted almost 20 years before the tank developed a small leak. We used it constantly for tea, coffee, hot chocolate for the kids - you name it. I replaced it, and the second one is still going strong and getting used many times each day. I just purchased one for a Christmas present for my youngest son, and I trust he'll use it for years. Very dependable, adjustable temp settings, and it'll heat water just as fast as you can use it. The install is easy - most difficult part is getting the mounting hole in a stainless sink. Once that's done, the rest is a 30-minute job. Tank mounts on the back panel under the sink and plugs into an outlet. I used the disposal outlet. 1/4" copper line forms a water supply. My wife and I wouldn't be without one. This is one purchase you'll never regret.
Nice February 24, 2008 Very nice product. Easy to install. I replaced the "Hot 1" with this. The "Hot 1" lasted 6 years..I hope this one can last longer.
works as advertised. August 23, 2008 nice and easy to install. Did not include a fitting for the 1/4 water line though. I would recommend this product!

Once you have one of these its like air conditioning. You'll always have. This replaced one 20 years old
A nice convenience, but knob is hard to turn with age. January 28, 2008 I've own my InSinkErator Hot Water Dispenser for 10 years now. It's been a very nice convenience for making such things as a quick cup of tea or a cup of noodles. My only complaint is, over time, the turn knob gets harder & harder to turn. Today the knob totally broke off from the unit; but after 10 years, I feel I've gotten my money's worth. I definitely will be replacing it, but this time I'll upgrade to a contemporary style faucet, which should alleviate the turn knob problem.
