The SC-15 is mounted to the heating plenum of your furnace. A water line is tapped into your home's water pipes and attached to the SC-15 Humidifier. A Humidistat (Relative Humidity Sensor) is placed somewhere in the house to sense the dryness of the air in the home. The Humidistat will send a signal to the Humidifier to turn on when the air in the house is too dry.
The water is now turned on to the humidifier and drains through an Evaporator Pad. When the water is draining through the pad the Hot Dry air from your furnace is forced through the Evaporator Pad. The air picks up moisture from the pad and delivers it into your living area.
